Robey
Heritage

Since 1947

Robey was founded during the reconstruction of Rotterdam in 1947. From a small apartment in Blijdorp, Pieter Bey laid the foundations for what was to become the best football brand in the Netherlands. Rotterdam + Bey became Ro-Bey. We consider both [Ro-bei] in Dutch and [Roh-bai] in English correct.

For decades, we were the driving force behind football in the Low Countries. Famous names like Ronald Koeman, Danny Blind, Louis van Gaal, John de Wolf, and Willem van Hanegem shone in Robey. Even the Dutch national team once wore the Robey R on their chest.

Trendsetters in sportswear

Shortly after its founding, Robey grew into one of the country's leading sports brands. It then focused on more sports than just football, including tennis and volleyball. Robey enjoyed its heyday in the 1960s, 1970s, and 1980s. For fans of retro advertising... enjoy!

The comeback

After bankruptcy in the 1990s, Robey made its comeback in 2012. Since then, the brand has quickly reclaimed its place as the fastest-growing and most beautiful football brand in the Benelux. The highlight of this period was FC Groningen, wearing Robey, winning the KNVB Cup for the first time in its history in 2015.

Moving forward

Currently, 10 professional clubs and over 400 amateur clubs across the Netherlands use Robey. This makes us the leading teamwear supplier for Dutch football. Robey also made its comeback in racquet sports and fitness. Whatever sport you play, do it in style with Robey.
